ISSUE 2: MISSING AND MURDERED INDIGENOUS WOMEN AND GIRLS

Updated: Jan 7, 2019

I feel like this topic has been weighing heavily on me and I am feeling lighter now that this issue is wrapping. This issue deals with the national crisis that is the disappearance and murder of Indigenous women and the lack of movement in preventing and solving these crimes. Included in the pages is a written piece by Sākihitowin Awāsis who is an Indigenous spoken word artist with accompanying art by Dawn Redskye, a visual artist and bewitching musician.

hIssue 2 will be available to grab in-person at the Aboriginal Solidarity Day event in Wortley Village in London on June 21st. It will available online on Wednesday, June 20th
